Hello there,
First, I want to thank you for visiting my personal portfoliosite. It is an honor that I sparked an interest for you.
Now a little bit about myself. My name is Vin, hence the name of my site vinDESIGN. I have had a fascination for design since I was a little kid. Coming from a place of little opportunities, I did not have the chance to pursue what I really wanted to do. During my early teen years, I took an interest in photography and started taking pictures of everything, thus gaining knowledge of a camera.
Fast forward to recent years…I first enrolled in the course of Accountancy before stopping midway after realising my passion for design to start the course of Communication & Multimedia Design at The Hague University by the next semester.
At Communication & Multimedia Design, I have learned new skills and developed old skills to near professionalism. I have acquired since the year 2012 the following skills:
- Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver & Premiere Pro
- HTML, CSS & JavaScript
- Design:
- Graphic, User Experience, User Interface, Interaction, Visual, Web & App
- Photography & Filmography
- Unity
My goal is to one day design and build my own custom WordPress theme from scratch.
In my free time, I enjoy the use of Photography and Photoshop. I constantly take pictures of everything that inspires me and later on use it to create an intriguing design in Photoshop. Next to photography, I’m experimenting with filmmaking. Currently, I created a webseries called COEDS that is set to premiere on my YouTube channel in fall of 2015.
Because of my interest in media, I also participate in a theatre group based in Leiden called the ISN Theatre Club. I will film their recent and upcoming productions that will later be available for viewership online.
Lastly, I’m constantly motivated to add new skills. I try to keep myself updated with all the latest trends in media and improve my knowledge of the fieldwork. I am very determined to make something of myself that will hopefully leave a lasting impression.
